In the Greater Buenos Aires (GBA) area, the average inflation expectation decreased from 39.1% to 31.6% (a drop of 7.5 percentage points). Meanwhile, the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) showed a decrease in the average from 35.2% to 33.4% (a drop of 1.8 percentage points). The variation was also observed when segmenting responses by income level. In low-income households, the average for the next 12 months fell from 38.6% in October to 31.7% in November, while the median dropped from 30% to 25%. In high-income households, the average fell from 36.2% to 28.7%, and the median fell from 30% to 20%. The difference between the averages of both groups stood at 3 percentage points in November, indicating that the gap widened compared to the 2.4 percentage points recorded in October. Regarding short-term inflation expectations, the November survey indicated that the monthly expectation for the next 30 days was 3.62% on average and 2% for the median. The 25th percentile was at 1.5% and the 75th percentile at 4%, with the median at 2.3%. This implies a decrease from October's values, which were 3.96% on average and 3% for the median. Finally, the variability of opinions, measured by the interquartile range (the difference between the 75th and 25th percentiles), recorded a value of 25 points in November. Buenos Aires, November 27 (NA) -- The average inflation expectation for the next 12 months at the national level stood at 29.7% during November, representing a decrease of 7.3 points compared to October (37%). Meanwhile, the median fell from 30% to 23%, according to the Inflation Expectations Survey conducted by the Finance Research Center (CIF) of Torcuato Di Tella University (UTDT). The current values of both the average and the median are the lowest recorded since March 2018. The information comes from the fieldwork carried out between November 1 and 13, 2025, and processed by the Argentine News Agency (Agencia Noticias Argentinas). At the regional level, decreases in inflation expectations were recorded in all areas. In the country's interior, the average fell from 36.3% in October to 28.1% in November, a decrease of 8.2 percentage points. The 25-point range is lower than that observed in recent months.
Inflation Expectations in Argentina Hit Lows Since 2018
